Overture
overture (stylized in lower case letters) is the opening song played at all stages and performances by AKB48, Nogizaka46, and their respective sister groups. Each 48 Group has their own version of overture. The members do not perform during "overture", rather it is a short vocal on instrumental song played before members come onstage.
The overture for AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, and JKT48 was recorded by DJ Taz. DJ Taz appeared on stage once to perform the song live, during Request Hour 2008 where the song ranked at 78th place. Other group overtures were recorded by other artists, or are an entirely instrumental track. Note that Nogizaka46's overture is stylized in capital letters as OVERTURE.
overture has only been performed by a 48 Group member once: by Takahashi Minami at the No Sleeves subunit 10 Year Anniversary Concert.
