Unlike the other 48 Groups, SGO48 is named after the former name of Ho Chi Minh City, which is Saigon. The logo color is pink, which is the image of the Lotus Flower, which is the national flower of Vietnam.
On December 5, 2021, it was announced they will disband after their 3rd year anniversary on December 22, 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
