Details

Synopsis

The protagonist, Konohoshi Umika, is a high school girl who suffers from extreme social anxiety and finds it difficult to communicate with others, harboring a complex about her own personality that prevents her from making friends. "I'm not understood on Earth. Let's find a place in space," she thinks to herself every day. However, unable to conceal her anxiety, Umika attends the high school entrance ceremony where she encounters a mysterious new student who introduces herself as a "space alien" named Akeuchi Yu. Shocked by the sudden appearance of the extraterrestrial she had dreamt of, Umika gathers her courage to approach and speak to Yu. Upon asking, Yu seems to be searching for a way to return to her home planet after losing her memory. "If we aim for space together, isn't that a win-win?" Umika, who wants to go to space, and Yu, who wants to return to space, find common ground in their goals and decide to collaborate on building a rocket! Later, they formed a Rocket Research Association with Takaragi Haruno, the vice class president, and Raimon Matataki, a mechanic who has been absent from school, and their dream of going to space is gradually getting closer. This is a grand and delicate "youth girls' ensemble drama" revolving around the encounter of a shy protagonist with a self-proclaimed alien, as they aim for their dreams and grow while journeying through space.
