AKB48's 18th Generation were selected from the AKB48's 18th Generation Auditions held from October 2022 to January 2023. The 8 members of the 18th generation were introduced to fans during a YouTube stream on 9th April 2023 as Kenkyuusei. They currently have 8 members.
