History

DEL48 (short for Delhi48) was an Indian Idol Group produced by Akimoto Yasushi and the 8th international sister group of AKB48. The 1st generation members were announced on December 30, 2019. On October 9, 2020, their producer announced indefinite suspension of the group's activity due to the Impacts of COVID-19 Pandemic. On July 13, 2022, the official cessation of activities was announced.

Overview

  • The logo color is based on the image of the saffron color (power and courage) and white (peace and truth) of the Indian flag.
  • On October 16, 2020, DEL48 posted a Facebook post, saying they are suspending all activities due to Impacts of COVID-19 Pandemic but states this is only a hiatus.
