"HKT48 2016 Summer Hall Tour ~Will HKT break away from the AKB48 Group? Referendum Concerts~" (HKT48 夏のホールツアー 2016 ~HKTがAKB48グループを離脱?国民投票コンサート~) is HKT48's fifth tour. The tour is going to be held from July 11 to August 15, 2016 in different venues around Kyushu, Chugoku and Shikoku.

Description

This tour was originally announced during the last day of the HKT48 Spring Live Tour ~Sashiko du Soleil 2016~ with the following venues::

  • July 11, 2016 - Fukuoka Prefecture - Fukuoka Sun Palace Hall (福岡サンパレスホール) (Anai Chihiro graduation concert)
  • July 12, 2016 - Fukuoka Prefecture - Fukuoka Sun Palace Hall (福岡サンパレスホール)
  • July 22, 2016 - Yamaguchi Prefecture - Shunan Cultural Center (周南市文化会館)
  • July 26, 2016 - Ehime Prefecture - Matsuyama Civic Center (松山市民会館)
  • July 27, 2016 - Kochi Prefecture - Kochi Prefectural Culture Hall's Orange Hall (高知県立高知文化ホール オレンジホール)

  • August 5, 2016 - Miyazaki Prefecture - Miyazaki Civic Cultural Hall (宮崎市民文化ホール)
  • August 15, 2016 - Oita Prefecture - Oita iichiko Grand Theater (iichikoグランシアタ)

The theme of the tour is reflected in the way the setlist is composed for each concert. At the start of every concert each person in the audience gets a coloured paper with on one side Remain and on the other side Leave. In the middle of the concert members appeal for and against a leave in MC, and then the crowd votes.

If Remain wins then the concert continues with a setlist that includes songs from other 48 Groups.

If Leave wins then the concert continues with a setlist that includes only HKT48 songs.

Trivia

  • The original schedule for this tour had a stop in Kumamoto Prefecture on August 4, 2016 but this date was cancelled due to the earthquake that happened in Kumamoto during spring 2016.
