Produce 48 is a Korean reality survival show and is the third season of the Produce 101 series. The difference between the first and second seasons of the show and this one is that for the first time, all Japanese 48 group members are able to join the show.
The show was announced at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in Japan on November 29, 2017 by Akimoto Yasushi after a joint performance of PICK ME, Heavy Rotation and Koisuru Fortune Cookie.
