[11/28] A4 & K3 DVDs - Anticipation and discussion

I don't know about you guys, but for me this is the second most hotly anticipated AKB48 release this year, right after the DVDs for A1, A2, A3, K1 & K2. Not only are what I consider to be some of AKB48's best songs in A4 and K3, but the overall quality is very high as well. Just look at these tracklists:

A4 in particular is just a non-stop train of awesomeness, but with Tomo yo, Nounai Paradise and Ki ni Naru Tenkousei, K3 has my favorite opening songs out of all stages. I love the dances, the costumes, how Kurukurupaa never fails to make me smile, the catchyness of the melody in Mr Kissman's intro (I love that song so much), how the K2 medley combines my three favorite songs from K2, the total disregard for subtlety in Seifuku ga Jama wo Suru's outfits, I could go on forever, but it's all wonderful.

 

A4 still is, and will probably always be, my favourite stage. Faint... oh Faint If I'm being honest I'm not all that excited for K3, but A4 is just a dream.

And if my ears didn't decieve me, Hana takes Sayaka's lines in Keibetsu. WHICH I WANT TO HEAR RIGHT NOW. Plus Ohe's amazingness in 7 ji 12 pun and Hiichan's fierce scarfness in Seifuku It's a shame we're not getting albums too.

 

I have a question. Someone mention about jacket included in the package, what do they mean with jacket?
And I have a request, please include the detail about the release
With K3 and A4, I would spent my money there if my hunt for some magz and weekly playboy fails

I agree with Kyobu. A4 is hands down amazing. Probably the best they've released as a stage so far. Start to finish, I can listen to the whole thing over and over.

As for K3....well, K3 was the first AKB48 concert I saw, so it will always have a place in my heart. I just remember being so....surprised when the curtain came up and there were girls there with guitars, a drumset, keyboards, and so on.

 

I think you may be confused with the album that will be released on January 1st. The limited edition of that supposedly has a special jacket. It could just be a different cover/booklet, or maybe it's something a bit more special, we don't know yet.

But speaking of covers, and since I have nothing else to complain about relating this release, I'll just express my slight displeasure with the new style covers. Hopefully they break with the tradition of less than stellar sound and video quality in return.

 

I'm assuming the fact that both CDJapan and YesAsia list it as K4 rather than A4 is a misprint? lol

I'm breaking my 'no buying stuffs' ban to get A4 though, and possibly K3 too if I manage to string some money together at Xmas. Cannot wait ^_^

 

I love K3 but I'm not that excited about this release, simply because I've listened to it way too much. I like all the songs in K3 but only 'love' about half. Whereas I love most of the songs on A4 (Darui kanji ).

I'm really looking forward to seeing Tomoyo though. Erena with her cute tambourine, Yuko with her cute bass, Kasai with her cute...

I desperately want to watch A4!!! The songs there are all very nice. I especially look forward to the performance of Kuma no Nuigurumi, Daruikanji and Mr Kissman.

K3 is nice too, but I like A4 more. ^ ^

 

I'm saving money, I think I will just enough to buy one. Maybe I'll choose A4

I forgot these were coming out... *ducks* Yuka will be most displeased.

I only want K3 for Maria. Which I already technically have from the other concert, so I'm mostly okay there. And A4 really only beckons me for Seifuku, again which I have, and I believe the recorded version on this DVD doesn't have the outfits of illegal skank (I'm looking at you Acchan), but rather the shorts/Hawaiian lei things. At least if the last A4 show is the DVD show. I already saw that at the theatre. No skank = disappointing *shakes head*

 

ordered A4, and so loving the songs and looking forward to it...
gotta order K3 soon.
