Me too, I don't mind Hana at all either, I think she makes a better center compared to the past ones but I also do hope to see haruppi back again and at least center the 11th single rather than the 12th(if there is one and she is given the chance to)...... Also whenever I look at or think about the election results it pains me to know and think haruppi would definitely had placed in the top 7, but her health comes first obviously, next year will be a treat!

Even though I love jurina I wouldn't mind seeing that happen, isn't it a tradition now?(Lol) Jurina crying over not being #1 then promising/saying she will be next year

Yeah...actually I think I saw that picture somewhere before on matome. So I decided not to post that until I see some people post it on twitter for more details.

But its w/e, I see some people are reporting through texts it's going fine so far.

Well AKB in these days seems to be mostly about the past.
Clearly it's not about new strong generations taking the lead but more about who from old gen top girls is graduating next in order to hand over spotlight for new girls.

I hope Haruppi doesn't lose momentum for next year.

Her fanbase is pretty solid so hopefully she has a reasonable chance at Kami 7 for next year. It should be fun!

    My opinion:
Winners this year are pretty obviously NGT and also SKE, losers are NMB and as expected STU. HKT and AKB did pretty normal imo

I have a suggestion for next year (2018) sousenkyo which incidents happened on this year sousenkyo may not happen again.

I suggest the host of 2018 sousenkyo is Sapporo, Hokkaido, the venue is Sapporo Dome. Sapporo Dome is an indoor venue that fulfills Sasshi's demand of indoor venue so it'll be barely affected by rain. Sapporo Dome was one of stadiums of 2002 World Cup and most famous match was Germany destroying Saudi Arabia 8-0.

Sapporo Dome is too big? Well, is there any other indoor venue in Sapporo? Yeah Sasshi was made to AKS this year and demands indoor venues for next AKB48 group events.

Well, in Hokkaido, I think even outdoor venue might not even rained because Hokkaido is barely affected by rainy season. Rain is something rarely happens there.

    @hrs0722 I doubt it.

They made the fans fly all the way to Okinawa for an event that was going to be cancelled almost for sure, they can't ask them to do the same next year, no matter how indoors the venue is.
If the Okinawa one had gone well, I'm sure they would have tried with Hiroshima or one of the 7 STU prefectures next year.

Since Okinawa was a mess, I'm betting on Nagoya. It's not Tokyo, but it's still relatively close.
And I wouldn't be surprised if they just stayed in Tokyo, tbf.

They're probably pulling their hair out. Okinawa was a great opportunity to show how good AKB was for local economies and have different cities betting to hold their own events (or even get their own SG?), but now...

The JLeague team Consadole Sapporo play there throughout the summer and so does a baseball team so I don't think they would allow the Sapporo Dome to be used.

According to Wikipedia the grass turf for football can be slid out when baseball is on and I'm not sure how important the turf quality is for baseball but either way I think a concert would wreck the pitch.

I don't understand why they have to go to different part of Japan to do this. Why not stay in Tokyo? It is AKB sousenkyo anyway. It's easier. more accessible and cheaper (?)

To show they're cooperating with and promoting all of Japan and not only Tokyo, since they're self-named "national idols".
That being said, I don't think it's a bad idea to do a SSK in Tokyo. Maybe in 2019 to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the event.

Well, it would be interesting if it was in Nagoya next year and Jurina didn't rank #1, lol
