Last night, I was going through some AKB files I had downloaded on my computer, and I discovered this little gem in one of the videos-- short clips of the Team B audition! Uploaded it to Youtube for anyone who wants to see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNvsGcz9IhI It's SO short, I wish it was longer, but you can see clips of Naru, Haachan. and Yukirin singing their audition songs. (Yuki's is SO BEAUTIFUL, the whole two seconds of it). And there's also some tiny clips of the big auditioning group learning the 'Virgin love' dance. Kinda funny, it seems the worst dancers ended up in the front.
^I had never seen that! Thank you! They certainly stuff quite a few girls into the studio for the auditions. I'm quite certain that they were violating the fire code's room capacity.
Thanx for sharing the video. I've never seen that. Yes too bad it's so short, since it seems very interesting. And yes some of the girls in the front didn't do that well in dancing. Especially the girl in the yellow/white t-shirt (far left), she looked a bit lost in the routine. Yuki
Is anyone else bothered by the fact that Team B was ignored entirely for the AKB+Idoling event? Ohh but Jurina gets a part of it. This makes me a little upset because I'm pretty sure Team B is part of AKB. (If you take SKE as Team S, it turns into AKS+Idoling x'D) Matsuyuki leaving, Mikipomu being a RS, Miichan being out for an extended period of time. I'd want to leave too if my team was getting ignored. If B4 turned out to be nothing but pure awesomeness then I'll be a little happier.
^I don't think we should look at it as thought Team B was 'ignored.' They simply don't have a member popular enough to be in the single. The singles have always been about AKB48 as a group, not AKB48 as Teams. If that were true, there would be equal members of each Team in each single. This sounds weird, but I kind of hope that this next Stage is non-traditional in the order: like A2. I would prefer to have equal distrobution of unit songs, but I'd like it to be a bit less formulaic like what we have now (2 group songs, costume change, 2 group songs, MC, 5 unit songs, MC, 3 group songs, MC, 1 group song, encore, two group songs, MC, one group song... as (pretty much) shown in H2, A5, K4, and B3).
^But the singles ONLY select the most popular members. If Team B happens to not contain one of the most popular members, it's not going to have a girl in the single. Just like Baby! Baby! Baby!'s super-selected members' (Acchan, Haruna, MAYU, Maimai, and Mariko) didn't include a girl from Team K doesn't mean it was an attack against Team K. It just means that no one on the Team was selected.
I miss the Team B that started B3. Naruppe Cindy Labutan Yukirin Haachan Ayarin Mikachii Mikipomu Tanamin Nakayan Harugon Gussan Nacchan Matsuyuki Yonechan Mayuyu I spent awhile learning that order in the Wasshoi B lyrics, too. I was proud of myself when I could remember the whole thing. I like Sasshi, Moeno, and Kohara, but I want this Team B back.
