Lol don't worry. Props to you for starting with the classic Who episodes! I personally just started watching the First Doctor episodes on Netflix, so I have a lot of catching up to do (can't wait until the Fourth Doctor episodes!). It's only because I'm one of those people who started with the new series first. Also it's just nice to see this thread alive. XD @Trinu Spoiler Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot that instance of Ten reverting his regeneration energy to his cut off hand didn't affect him at all...besides preventing his regeneration.
I've just ended 'The caves of Androzani', the last of the episodes starring Peter Davison as the Doctor, and I must say two things: 1. I absolutely understand why fans voted this story as their all-time favorite story in 2009 (and the 4th best in another poll in 2014). An amazing plot, wonderful villains, thrilling episodes... 10/10, indeed. 2. I'm tempted to change my vote and vote for Peter Davison as the best Doctor. It's true that he isn't as funny/silly/chaotic as the 10th, but I believe that perhaps he suits the original idea of the Doctor better. PS: the 2014 poll I mentioned above http://www.doctorwhomagazine.com/the-top-10-doctor-who-stories-of-all-time/
Wow, I red somewhere that the 6th Doctor was perhaps the least loved of all the Doctors...and now I understand why. I've liked some of the villains more than I like him... EDIT: I've red today that 'The twin dilemma' has been voted several times as the worst story ever. . Btw, one of the actors is someone some of you already know. Spoiler: Guess who?
I found this great article with 50 interesting facts about Dr.Who. Some of the facts are truly amazing...Michael Jackson? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/...8029/Doctor-Who-50-things-you-didnt-know.html
I finally resumed watching the old series, it was about time!. Now that I have watched all the Colin Baker episodes I must confess I've grown fond of his Doctor. At first he was a psychopath but in the end he was charming and funny. Btw, I found an amazing piece of trivia yesterday. I didn't know it, but the 7th Doctor performed in a famous movie a few years ago. Spoiler: Can you guess wich one?
I need to catch up on both the Classic episodes AND Series 9... (haven't watched DW for the past few months)
I'm really enjoying the 26th season. The plots are very confusing and full of twists, but it makes the episodes more thrilling. Besides, most of the episodes are linked through Ace's past. Now all the episodes of a season usually have something in common, but in the old series that was very unusual. PS: in the serial The curse of Fenric I found someone I had seen before, Christien Anholt. I had watched some episodes of Relic hunter, so it was a funny surprise.
I finally resumed watching the new series. I'm watching the second part of the Series 7 now...and I can't help feeling that Clara is stealing the show all the time...
I've you're watching the new series, don't miss 'The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot' spoof (specially if you have watched the old series, because there are a lot of cameos). It's very funny!
Peter Capaldi stepping down as the Doctor. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/peter-capaldi-stepping-down-as-doctor-who-970263 So we will be getting the 13th Doctor this year.
Four years...it was so fast... I guess many fans will demand now (again) a female Doctor, a black Doctor...
The 13th Doctor: Jodie Whittaker https://twitter.com/bbcdoctorwho/status/886608420241117185 Our first female doctor.
I'm not sure I'm glad about it. I'm afraid I'm too used to think about a 'he' when I think about The Doctor. Anyway, we get used to everything in the end, so I guess I will like it more when I start to watch her episodes... At least it isn't Gillian Anderson...
She's still married to River though? I'm praying for some lesbian interracial love with Bill just so all the chauvinist nerds get their heads blown.
Wow! I had heard it before, but I didn't know it was a real song! (Lol at the Dalek walking at 03:10 ) if the video does not show watch the video here
