After very long time I checked mnl48's fb... members dancing to Kesha's Tik Tok...
I had to actually google who is Kesha and what is this crap song...
The guys who manage the group have absolutely no idea what idols are all about.
They deserve to fail spectacularly.

 

So much for cannot buy rights for some AKB48 songs yet they can easily play Kesha's song without any restrictions.

 

Rules governing rights to play songs differ depending on the country of origin. Japan has stricter rules regarding rights. The thing is, if AKS didn't give their permission to have AKB songs used, there's nothing you can do. Not even if you are ABS CBN.

It's also not just a matter of buying rights to play them on air. Sometimes the owner of the catalogue may indicate certain restrictions as to when the songs can be played, how it can be played, and where.

May i know who update the MNL48 page? Im so confused, i thought the top 48 are not the final/official members.

the competition is still on-going, there might be additions(wildcard in demand)/eliminations in the future,please edit it if my understanding is correct, it would make a whole confusion to all.

I think the 48 is yet official but the determination of their places is still in the fate of the people who oshi their favorite MNL48.

 

I see, but MNL48 announce changes from time to time so unless they say the word official, i cant say they are but aside from that am i the only one noticing there profile pic sizes on the page too big unlike other SG?

 

Well, we have to just wait for the twists and turns. For this week, all 48 will perform on Its Showtime, Monday to Saturday and Online Update Chat along with their relatives and close to them.

Nope. I highly doubt that ABS CBN will suddenly speed up the process because of this announcement.

 

they might appear as support group (kami 7 chosen)since they will do their training in japan or they'll appear to advertise them as the new SG, but highly doubt they'll join in to any events half of this year.

 

Probably MNLs Kami 7 will be introduced in Japan during the world senbatsu though they are not part of the voting yet.

Nope. The rule is the same and it depends on how harsh each music label/ agency or its royalty collector exercises its copyright. I believe the music label Kesha belongs to has royalty collector in PH - its official distributor. I think if you have paid yearly royalty fee to a royalty collector, you can use any song in its catalogue unlimitedly within a year, no? Also, usually, a tv boardcaster opts to pay royalty yearly when it often uses songs from a specific distributor or it will opt to pay per usage.

P.S. cheap BNK's agency used AKB48's song, Oogoe Diamond, in its audition show.
