Just to confirm with the thread mods that 17ki members are no longer KKS, they were all promoted today at the evening concert and that's already been reflected in their profiles on the official site.

 

Like @David61 posted above, AKBs 17th Gen has been promoted, please move their threads to the Promoted Members thread.

Also, S46s Habu Mizuho graduated last November, please move her thread and gallery to the grad section.

Basing on forum acitvity and Member Ranking Results maybe it's better to make this forum more compact?

What's idea?
1. Let's merge all "Team forums" and use Sakamichi thread naming scheme, ex. "Nomura Miyo / Team S". We can reduce 11 Team subforums into 4 "Group members" subforums.
2. Let's merge all AKB48 Group sister groups subforums(except AKB) for "News & Releases" with "Discussion" subforums into ex. "SKE48 News & Discussion". We can reduce next 10 subforums or if we do the same for Sakamichi groups then even we can reduce 13 subforums.
3. Let's move "Generation Threads" into "Members" subforums as pinned ones and after graduation of the whole generation let's move threads like this into "Graduated Members" subforum as pinned thread.

Now we have 79 subforums and using my idea it's possible to reduce it into 59, so we can reduce it by 25% of it's current size.

It's not time when Stage48 did have 200 users voting in 2016 or 100 in 2017. Now it's only "47 wonderful users" +20% ammortisation lol This big ssers outflow due to site issues, genration change (younger users prefer X and Discord) and in general not being interested anymore in 48 Group or Sakamichi made me this consideration, that we can make this forum more compact and convinient without damage on it's quality.

 

I could add another thing - merging Galleries to main threads. It seems nobody remembers about them, yet losing posts would be so much worse. Even though Galleries are "hidden" within Member sections from the "Home PoV", they still make Quick Navigation bloated/padded.

1. I have scrolled and only four groups (SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, MNL48) still have "members per team" separation, a minority - it would be more consistent to have only "members" and "graduated members" everywhere (no opinion on Kenkyuusei). A joke - I sometimes wander trying to find a member, when I don't remember/know her current Team.
2. Nope, "News & Releases" have rules, that would either break discussion threads, or become unenforceable when relaxing to include discussions. There is a reason.
3. No opinion, though seems to make sense.

 

I've noticed that other (non-idol) XenForo forums which I visit use various solutions such as accordions to make the front page shorter. One example is the air travel forum Flyertalk which has grouped together its many subforums for airline, hotel and credit card loyalty programs under single headings which users can click on to see a full list. Might that be a suggestion for this forum (which will have an even longer front page once KLP48 gets under way)?

On another matter, IMO the General AKB48 Discussion subforum has too many pinned threads. Admittedly most of them are useful and relevant, it's just that some of the unpinned threads are more active and tend to get lost down the page. Could at least the four AKB4 Team threads be archived and moved somewhere else?
