Woah ... Its been a while I've been on the SNH thread, but I didn't realise stage48 took it out of the 48 family line completely (justifiable though - china48 is only licensing jpn48 songs for while) ANYWAYS ... I just heard of this new girl group ... and wow this a too fast ... Like if they are going for the tru 48 philosophy of "local idols" then yea they are doing it right (cuz lets be real, nmb, ngt, hkt, etc do more promotion in tokyo) BUT like China is a bit too separated to really create sister group Kenins I heard there was a rumor that Star48 expects to create 10 groups in total by the end of there growing stages, so they have market dominance over the growing C-pop scene, because the whole 48 idea of handshake events, etc - so people are more personally invested but I feel ... when do the groups get to release singles (HKT is already on a 2 single a year cycle) It took AKB 10 years to finally have up STU, and I know that AKB started out indie so they didn't have the system figured out or the money to get so many sister groups, but I just feel this is a bit too quick, and we are gonna see burning ship... LIKE the only real real celebrity in China48 is Kiku, even Savoki isn't crazy big. btw congrats Kiku on your solo debut. I think china48 really got better after they decided to match to the chinese market and create originals but just because they have so much investment and revenue doesn't mean they are necessarily popular (remember akb48 tbh, during heart-ereki era was only popular due to their million streaks, ok tbh thats still kinda the issue). Even BEJ's Lizi or GNZ's LeiLei aren't even crazy popular (btw, we can all admit how popular LeiLei will get, she has such a mayuyu vibe). I wouldn't be surprised Tianjin will get a TJN48. Last point... omg the color and font, please stop ... I get the copyright rule but please stop ruining the sleekness of the 4KB48 logo.
I agree with that. China48 has a lot of moderately popular girls, each of them with a decent amount of fans, but none of them are recognizable to the GP aside from MAYBE the top four in SNH. With all the competition from Kpop in China, they need to make a real name for themselves in that music market. I'm not saying that their sales suck, but I doubt dime a dozen sister groups right off the bat are going to do as well as they think. Also, please. Please. I need a reason why they chose shut an ugly shade of brown as the logo. A pale brown would have been way better, even!
@DePhocas Thank you for sharing this website. I just read about what C-Pop is trying to do now. It's interesting what kind of momentum they are making after SNH "broke off" from AKB. Even if they are copying, the fact that SNH can inspire others to finally appreciate their entertainers, maybe we can get some more quality work.
