Maybe in Windows 8 (the non-updated flaw OS), Windows Experience Index (WEI) is still there, but this is Windows 8.1 and WEI's GUI is already removed...

(Note: It's not that my battery worn out, but I'm using direct current now and stored the battery only to be used while not in my room)

Many people don't like Acer, that's really the truth, but I don't have choice because this is the only one model of laptop with affordable price running Intel Core i5... This laptop is RM 1,999 (promotion price) whereas the other laptop sold at the same shop running Intel Core i5 too is from HP with price RM 2,500

My previous laptop netbook only have the integrated graphic card from Intel...
I buy this new laptop not only because of the heavy programs I need to run but also because of the screen's two black spots, and the fan is also singing like yours... Plus, the battery of the netbook has worn out and currently can only holds up to 30 minutes of usage.

Currently running on three years old custom build PC with Win7 Ultimate 64-bit.

The goal was to make a balanced setup suitable for photo editing (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.), everyday entertainment (music) and for some 'non-state of the art' gaming. I have no use for mobility so this is a regular workstation type PC.

    Intel Core i5 3570K (LGA 1155, w/ stock clock)
    16GB DDR3 1600MHz (2x G.Skill 8GB Ripjaws X PC3-12800, 10-10-10-30)
Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX660 DirectCU II OC 2GB
    Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard
LG Blu-Ray BH10 LS optical drive
Samsung 830 128GB SSD (dedicated as a OS drive)
2x Western Digital 1TB Caviar Green (as a slow data storage, RAID1 mirror, both drives with customized firmware to keep that head parking at reasonable levels)
XFX 750W XXX Edition +80 Silver ATX power supply
Fractal Design Define R4 Titanium Grey case

Dell 24" U2412M display (6-bit IPS-panel) and colors calibrated with Spyder 4 Pro

    For audio:
    Meier-Audio Corda Jazz headphone amplifier

    Todos:
    • Get a proper DAC (digital audio converter). Motherboard integrated chip will have to do until...
    • ...I actually get my hands on a suitable headphones (AKG K712 Pro or other enthusiast level open structure headphone)
