- The group was announced through AKB48's official SHOWROOM live broadcast by Yokoyama Yui on December 27, 2017 as MUM48 until it was rebranded as MUB48 on June 19, 2019.
- The logo color is based on the image of the green (rich earth) and white (peace and truth) of the Indian flag.
- Due to DEL48 official hiatus, the MUB48 activities are uncertain. As of 2022, the group has no activity.
