Unofficial Hinatazaka46 Units refer to informally named Hinatazaka46 units that are not credited in their respective songs. Some of these units were created when the group was still known by its former name, Hiragana Keyakizaka46 (until February 2019).

French Bread

French Bread (フランスパン) is an unofficial Hinatazaka46 unit created for the song Sanrinsha ni Noritai from Hiragana Keyakizaka46's 1st Album Hashiridasu Shunkan.

"French" was used to represent Kakizaki Memi, who aspired to be "like a French doll". "Bread" was taken from Sasaki Mirei's nickname, Miipan (pan meaning "bread" in Japanese).

Kizunas

Kizunas (きずなーず) is an unofficial Hinatazaka46 unit created by Sasaki Mirei in March 2019.

The name comes from kizuna, meaning "bonds". All three members are close friends and have expressed a strong sense of duty to Hinatazaka46 as 1st Generation members.

Asakusa Sisters

Asakusa Sisters (浅草姉妹) is an unofficial Hinatazaka46 unit made up Hinatazaka46 members who had exclusive modeling contracts with fashion magazines on or before March 27, 2019.

The name comes from Asakusa, Tokyo, the location where the music video for Footsteps on Hinatazaka46's 1st Single was filmed. The costumes worn in the music video resemble those of the Asagaya Sisters, a famous comedy duo. Additionally, Asakusa Sisters is the name of a famous 1950s enka song in which two singers sing about their lives as entertainers.
