- Risako has been called a "gorilla" character, and her original catchphrase mentions gorillas. For her final date scene of the video game AKB48 Renai Sousenkyo, she and the player visit a zoo to watch gorillas.
- In 2012, Risako decided to instead try having a "princess" character. At handshake events when fans would ask about her old gorilla character, she would correct them by saying "I'm a princess!"

As a parody, Risako formed the Gorisa Children, a group of kenkyuusei that she teaches narcissism and bad habits.
- For this and other reasons, Matsui Jurina calls Risako a sadist
- On August 31, 2013, fans found Risako's private twitter account where she had posted about possibly leaving SKE48. The account was deleted the following day.
