Just read the description before you buy and you'll know what you're getting. Also, if the single is pretty old, chances are you still won't get the picture, because those only come with the first print (or whatever it's called with CD's :p).

Just wondering, does anyone know when the 2016 member pictures will be released (such as the ones on member's Wiki pages), as I am curious to see what they'll look like!

I've wanted to ask this question for a long time. but I've always been too embarrassed. I've never understood Japanese names (first names and last names, that is). For instance, on Tomochin's thread someone posted a picture of her 2016 calendar and the front it says TOMOMI ITANO. I've always thought her name was Itano Tomomi. How does that work? Which is her ''given'' name at birth and which is her ''family'' name. And why do they seem to be interchangeable? Is that common in Japan? Forgive my stupidity and thanks in advance for your responses.

In some asian countries they put the family name first and the given name after, we westerners do the opposite so when japanese people want to write their names in "english" they write it our way, given name first and family name after. Since most fans are used to this we just write the names the japanese way. In this case, Tomomi is her name and Itano her family name.

Thank you. So when you come across a Japanese name for the first time, can you be sure which is the given name and which is the family name just by looking at it? And when the girls use a nickname, is it always a form of their given name?

If you have experience with Japanese names, you can be pretty sure which is the first name and which is the surname.
Nicknames are usually based on the first name. But for girls like Takamina or Kojiharu, the nickname is an amalgamation of the family name and the first name.

Yeah, the only time i got confused was with Nito Moeno and because i knew someone named Nito. And from what i know they only write their names the western way for marketing purposes, or when they are actually speaking in a western language. So if you hear/see the name in japanese tv show, a fan page or website used to japanese stuff is pretty safe to assume that is written the japanese way.

    Hi!

Just wondering if someone knows of any 'horror' 'haunted house' or similar episodes that AKB has been in. There's been a couple in Shukan AKB, only up to episode 30 so far so don't know if there's any after that, would like to know if there are any in other series they've been in.

    Thanks

I was wondering if perhaps anyone could tell me what Ota Aika said at 1:20 in this video, that caused them to laugh this hard. It's been bothering me not knowing so maybe someone here knows a bit japanese :^^;:

Ota told Moriyasu to talk about "that" and Moriyasu refused.
Though what "that" means was not told, they suggestively laughed.

I think they had told about "that" offstage and "that" is unsuitable for the public :^^;:
