Yup. That one. The words then spread around 48G community, piqued interest to some, and boom, her HS demand skyrocketed and she no longer "Another T8/48G girl of many.". Right, Cristafari?:D

    Lucky her.

Everything is LGBTQ these days. Just a matter of time until they add another letter to that too.

AKB will appear on today's episode of J-Melo on NHK World. They'll be performing in Thailand. The episode can be live streamed for free on their website as it airs. The first broadcast is in 45 minutes but will repeat throughout the day. Check the schedule for the next airing.

Anyways, I just want to ask what were the criteria on the KKS Selection? I'm just curious

Which one do you mean ?

the very 1st one was just an excuse to get rid off the so called "black generation" (8th gen and few more)
in 2012, the management held another selection audition, but only talked about the results, they never said their criterias.

I think it's more of an evaluation of how the girls are behaving and improving, more than their actual skills.

The 8th generation was all kicked out because they were arrogant, not because they were not talented.

Amount of listeners of 48/46 groups on last.fm:

    AKB48: 71.4K
    SKE48: 16.3K
    Nogizaka46: 11.4K
    NMB48: 8.3K
    JKT48: 7.2K
    HKT48: 4.6K
    Keyakizaka46: 3K
    SNH48: 1.1K
    NGT48: 688
    BNK48: 435
    STU48: 207

I'm not including sub-units, soloists, & SNH48's illegal sister groups.

Seems not many 48/46 fans use this site. Well, this site is indeed abandoned by many of its users but I'm still using it to find new friends who listen same music as I do.

Surprised that Sakamichi aren't higher since their stuff is on Spotify.

But I guess AKB still has a much bigger catalogue.

Another thing to consider is whether that listener count comes from since Last.fm was founded.
Many listeners may be from the golden age of AKB when more people used Last.fm. Now that Nogizaka is more popular, the site is also more abandoned. There may be more listeners, they just don't use Last.fm anymore.

Still no thread discussing this year sousenkyo? So lemme post about it here.

    2018 sousenkyo final result:

    • It's on same hour as a world cup match of France vs Australia. Well, you can watch both actually. Sousenkyo on your PC or laptop because off course it's on streaming unless you live in Japan. World cup on your TV. The match is on 19 JST, sousenkyo should end in 20:30 JST. Next match is Argentina vs Iceland on 22:00 JST.
    • It's on 2nd day of Eid Al Fitr. It matters if the Islamic holiday is official holiday in your country including mine, Indonesia. In Indonesia, Eid Al Fitr is 2 days holiday but it actually can be a week holiday. Well seems no screening in Indonesia this year, most people are in their hometowns.
