AKB48 Natsu Matsuri 2014 (AKB48 夏祭り 2014) is a weeklong event featuring AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48 members that started on August, 2014. The event works like a typical japanese festival, with several games, small live performances (Featuring solos, units, MCs, karaoke contests...) and signing events, all featuring members from the different groups, that often work selling food, participating on the games etc. Often the "money" for the event are handshake tickets, included on singles.
Between the attractions from the event were Tanabe Miku working as DJ, Yamauchi Tsubasa's live performances, AKB48's "Momoiro Clover Z" (Featuring Sato Sumire, Kitahara Rie, Abe Maria, Uchida Mayumi, Nishino Miki and Ichikawa Miori), a gravure contest won by Kojima Natsuki and even a food eating contest won by Shimada Haruka. Kenkyuuseis from SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48 made special performances, while Watanabe Mayu made a solo performance.
