STU48 (short for Setouchi48) is a Japanese idol group and the 5th sister group of AKB48. The group is based in the Setouchi region of western Japan, and had their own theater on a passenger boat called the STU GO. The boat began travelling across the Yamaguchi, Hiroshima, Okayama, Hyogo, Tokushima, Kagawa and Ehime prefectures in April 2019. Theater guests boarded and disembarked from the same port, while the boat cruised the local waters and the theater performance took place. The ship was officially decommissioned on May 23, 2021. All future theater performances will take place at venues across the Setouchi region. The 1st generation members were announced on March 19, 2017. The debut single of the group, Kurayami, was released on January 31, 2018.
