- She was born in Osaka, then moved to Kanagawa when she was 3 years old. The AKB48 official site gives her birthplace as Kanagawa prefecture.
- She was given the name "Nana" because she was born on November 7th. Nana means "seven" in Japanese.
- She has two older brothers and a younger sister.
- On AKB48 Sayonara Mouri-san she shared that her first kiss was with her older brother. She was 5 years old at the time, and she kissed him during a car ride while he was asleep.
- Her younger sister, Rina, appeared with Nana at the 2016 Janken Tournament doing a cosplay from the anime Re:Zero. Rina also occasionally shows up in Nana's SHOWROOM streams.
- She was inspired to join AKB48 after she saw Itano Tomomi in a fashion show on television and found her cute. She became a fan the group, collected merchandise, and even went to handshake events to meet Watanabe Mayu.
- She failed AKB48's 13th Generation auditions.
- She is known for her serious (majime) personality, especially during variety shows and theater performances. Theater manager Yuasa Hiroshi called Nana "a perfectionist and stoic hard worker. She takes what she is given and returns it at 120%".
- She developed a code of conduct for the AKB48 Kenkyuusei while she was one.
- She called Minegishi Minami Mii-san, instead of Mii-chan like other members did, since Minegishi was her senior.
- She is very athletic. She loves sports, especially soccer.
- She formed the "Agoshimai" ("Chin Sisters") duo with Nishino Miki because of their sharp chins.
- She was one of the "Three Musketeers" with Kojima Mako and Nishino Miki. The name was given to them in 2013 as hopeful stars for the future of AKB48.

- She was diagnosed with coronavirus in late July 2022. She was on hiatus for one week, and watched all 8 seasons of Game of Thrones during that time.

- In 2023 she confirmed she dated a woman in 2017, during her time as an AKB48 member.
- In early 2023, she shared that she suffered from bulimia and binge eating disorders, which began during her time as a AKB48 member. It became so severe that she had to take hiatus from May to June 2016. After moving out of her family home and into her own apartment, she found it easier to moderate her eating habits and was able to start recovering.
- In late 2023, she gave a 7-page interview with Asahi where she came out as non-binary and also spoke about her issues with drug and alcohol abuse.
- She confirmed that she suffered from a panic disorder since early 2022, and began taking antidepressants at that time. After a media scandal in November 2022 in which she was photographed with a man, she received public backlash. She fell into depression, lost significant weight, and began using drugs and alcohol.
- In December 2022, she suffered a serous injury when she fell from the second floor of her apartment complex. She was on hiatus from December 17, 2022 until the end of the year.
- She debuted as a solo singer on November 16, 2023.

- In July, was announced a member of AKB48's 14th Generation.
- On July 9th, made her theatre debut as a backing dancer at Team K's RESET stage.
- On August 15th, was part of her first AKB48's songs: Sakuranbo to Kodoku and Aozora yo Sabishikunai ka? on the group's 4th album 1830m.
2013
- On May 22nd, received her first center position alongside Kojima Natsuki and Kojima Mako for Bara no Kajitsu on AKB48's 31st single Sayonara Crawl.
- On July 20th, at AKB48's AKB48 5 Big Dome Concert Tour in Fukuoka, the new unit Tentoumu Chu! was formed. Nana was announced as one of the seven members.
- On August 24th, at the AKB48 5 Big Dome Concert Tour in Tokyo, was promoted to Minegishi Team 4 (Reformation of Team 4).
- On October 10th, Tentoumu Chu! released its first song Kimi Dake ni Chu! Chu! Chu! on AKB48's 33rd single, Heart Ereki.
- From October 27th (2013) to March 16th (2014), appeared in the AKB48 high school drama, Joshikou Keisatsu.
- On November 3rd, was part of the shonichi performance of Team 4's Te wo Tsuginagara stage.

- On June 7th, at the AKB48 37th Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo ~Yume no Genzaichi ~Rival wa Doko da?~, ranked for the first time at #51 (Future Girls).
2015
- On March 26th, at the AKB48 Spring Concert 〜Jikiso Imada Shugyouchu!〜, stayed with Takahashi Team 4.
- From May 14th, appeared in the theater stage play of Majisuka Gakuen as Okita in the AiiA Theater Tokyo.
- On June 6th, at the AKB48 41st Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo ~Juni Yoso Fukano, Oare no Ichiya~ ranked at Undergirls for the first time (#29).

- On June 1st, was part of the senbatsu for AKB48's 44th single Tsubasa wa Iranai. This marked her senbatsu lock (meaning she has been part of every senbatsu since then).
- On June 18th, at the AKB48 45th Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo 〜Bokutachi wa Dare ni Tsuiteikeba ii?〜, ranked at Senbatsu for the first time (#14).
- From July 26th to August 5th, appeared in the theater stage play of Majisuka Gakuen.
2017
- On January 25th, received her first solo song Coin Toss on AKB48's 8th album Thumbnail.
- On February 22nd, it was announced she would hold a kennin position with AKB48's new sister group STU48. She would also be the general manager and captain of the group.
- On July 8th, was part of her first STU48 senbatsu for the group's debut single, Kurayami.

2018

- On January 11th, at the AKB48 Group First Singing Contest, came in 3rd place.
- On February 13th, received her first STU48 center position for Shukko on the group's 2nd single Kaze wo Matsu.

2020
- On January 19th, was officially no longer the general manager of STU48.
