For example, in October 2021 she was challenged to perform 5 squats on Day 1, 10 squats on Day 2, 15 squats on Day 3, and so on. She posted updates to her Instagram Story each day, and marked every successful day on a calendar with a gyoza sticker.
  • Within AKB48 she is known for her sharp dancing. Other members call her "Teacher Hitomi" or “Honda Police” during dance lessons.
    • In AKB48 Sayonara Mouri-san, Kashiwagi Yuki said that when it comes to dancing, Hitomi is strict even with her seniors. She reviews recordings of the members dancing and plays them in slow motion, frame by frame, in order to catch mistakes.
  • She is one of the few AKB48 members to dye her hair a color besides black, brown, or blonde.

  • On April 29th, IZONE officially disbanded and Hitomi, Miyawaki Sakura and Yabuki Nako returned to Japan. Upon returning, they were all still signed to the agency Vernalossom, which handled IZONE's activities and promotions in Japan.
