- Shortly after the election, Matsui Jurina went on hiatus due to poor health, and refrained from all activities (such as Produce 48). As her condition did not improve, it was announced that she will be unable to participate in the title track and video for the group's 53rd single, Sentimental Train. Both were remade when she returned in October. This marks the first instance where the center and election winner was unable to participate in the follow-up single.
- All of MNL48 and Team 8 members Rissen Airi and Ito Kirara were not eligible since they debuted after the end of the application period.

- First election in which fans were allowed to vote for the location of the election, with the requirement being that the venue had a roof.

- Muto Tomu had the biggest ranking increase (from non-rank to #7), while Kato Yuuka had the biggest ranking decrease (#33 to #86).
- For members who ranked in the top 80 for both this year and last year's elections, Kato Minami had the biggest ranking increase (#71 to #30).
- For newly-ranked members, Nara Miharu had the biggest ranking increase (Non-rank to #21).
- For members who ranked in both the 1st day and final results, Tano Ayaka gained the least votes after the first-day results, with a vote gain of 4,960 votes.
- Suda Akari had the biggest vote gain of 90,887 votes, while Kato Yuuka had the biggest vote loss of 8,711 votes.
- With the exception of Senbatsu, Matsumura Kaori is the first member to center the same unit twice, and the second member overall (after Iwasa Misaki) to center an election unit twice. She was the Undergirls center in 2014.
- This is the third election where no NMB48 members are featured in an election unit (Next Girls) since their debut.
- With the exception of Sashihara Rino's consecutive victory, Shinozaki Ayana is the second member (after Hirajima Natsumi) to maintain the same ranking for three consecutive years. She ranked #94 since 2016. With the addition of 10th World Senbatsu General Election Commemorative Category, she is also the second member (after Fujie Reina) to change units (from unranked 2 years to 10th World Senbatsu General Election Commemorative Category) without changing ranks.
