  • She has two sisters. One of her sisters has appeared on AKBINGO!.
  • She had no experience with dance before joining AKB48.
  • Her debut theater performance was on April 30th, 2013 at the Team K 1st Waiting Stage.
  • She is bad at pronouncing the "ry" sound. She struggles with "rya" (りゃ), "ryu" (りゅ), and "ryo"(りょ). The hardest word for her to pronounce is "ryokou" (旅行), meaning "travel".
  • She did not play any sports growing up, but she is good at cardio activities like jumping.
  • In her early days as an AKB48 member she often referred to herself in the third person, beginning her sentences with "Komi is" rather than "I am". This was considered a "cutesy" way of speaking, as it is reminiscent of how young children talk. As time went on fellow members complained that it was annoying, and she stopped doing it.
  • She is sometimes called black-hearted. On an episode of AKBINGO!, Oshima Ryoka said that Haruka's big smile and cheerful appearance on stage/during filming are just acting. Backstage she is a "meh~" person who doesn't smile at all.
  • In an interview, she said her target character is a "fisherwoman". She wants to be like Suda Akari or Watanabe Miyuki, who can hook fans with smooth lines at handshake events. However, in reality if a fan said to her at a handshake event "please fish me~", she wouldn't know what to do.
  • She wants to perform the unit song Tenshi no Shippo one day.
  • She is a fan of the K-Pop group TWICE.
  • She likes Disney and Disneyland. In October 2021 she dressed up as Belle from Beauty and the Beast for Halloween.
  • She is a member of the unofficial "Cinderellaaaa" sub-unit with Owada Nana, Tsuchiyasu Mizuki and Mukaichi Mion.
  • She is a member of the unofficial "Aoichigo" sub-unit with Fukuoka Seina, Ichikawa Manami and Yumoto Ami.
  • She was one of the 50 winners of the Young Jump Gravure Competition
  • In January 2019 she served as the image model for a Chiba Prefectural Police Department campaign to prevent improper dialing of emergency service numbers.
  • She was the captain of the omurice team in the AKB48 Cooking Senbatsu Competition.
