- She has an older sister and a younger brother.
- Her sister is named Miyuu and is four years older. She debuted as a singer-songwriter in 2016.
- Her brother is named Taiyou and is six years younger. He particpated in ABEMA's TV program "I Fell in Love with You Today" in January 2022.
- Her parents chose the name "Miru" because it sounds like the word miru (見る) meaning "to see". The two kanji 美瑠 are meant to evoke the image of the universe. The kanji 瑠 was also taken from the Matsuda Seiko song "Ruriiro no Chikyu".
- Her nickname "Mirurun" came from her grandfather, who used to call her "Runrun".
- She is good at gymnastics and athletics. She can do mat exercises, vaulting boxes, and as a child swam and played tennis.
- As a child she was a reader model for the elementary school students' fashion magazine "Nico☆Petit".
- She was high school classmates with Koga Narumi. Even though they were junior and senior in NMB48, they called each other "Naru" and "Miru" due to closeness from school.
- She calls herself a crybaby and says she is bad at talking.
- She was the 13th member whose name was called for the debut lineup of the Team N 1st Stage.
- In 2012 many of the NMB48 1st Generation members said Miru was the "strongest little sister", and it was impossible to get mad at her because she was so cute. However, when the NMB48 2nd Generation debuted, many of the 1st Generation members began to call the 2nd Generation members cute. This made Miru jealous, and she said she wanted Kishino Rika's attention especially at the time.
- She’s known for abnormally liking ketchup and drinking it straight out of the bottle
- She, Kadowaki Kanako, and Kinoshita Haruna were called the "3 silly/stupid sisters"
- She has long toes.
- Miru and Kinoshita Haruna were exposed to have smelly feet. A staff member compared them to decide which one of them had the worse smell.
- The truth behind their smelly feet was that they never wore socks during performances, so their shoes became more and more smelly. The reason of not wearing socks was that it was easier to change clothes between the songs.
- She had a habit of walking around the dressing room naked. She said she was naked "because the ancient humans were also naked".
- She is very fond of Motomura Aoi.
- She is a fan of the K-pop group Red Velvet. Red Velvet were made aware of this and once mentioned her during the Korean show Weekly Idol.
- An anime version of her was created for the Chinese mobile game AKB48 Cherry Bay Blaze, but she was never officially implemented

2010
- In October, joined NMB48 as part of its 1st Generation.
2011
- On January 1st, had her theater debut at the Kenkyuusei stage Dareka no Tame ni.
- On March 10th, was promoted to Team N (Team N Formation).
- On March 21st, was part of the shonichi for Team N's 1st stage, Dareka no Tame ni.
- On May 19th, was part of the shonichi for Team N's 2nd stage, Seishun Girls.
- On July 20th, was part of the senbatsu for NMB48's first single Zetsumetsu Kurokami Shoujo.
- On October 9th, had her concert debut at the NMB48 1st Anniversary Special Live.
- On November 19th, was part of the shonichi for Team N's 3rd stage, Koko ni Datte Tenshi wa Iru.
2014
- On February 24th, at the AKB48 Group Daisokaku Matsuri, was moved to Yamada Team M.

2016
- On February 10th, was part of the shonichi for Team A's 7th stage, M.T. ni Sasagu.

2017

2018
- On April 1st, had her final activity as a member of AKB48's Team A.
- From June 15th, appeared on the Korean idol survival show Produce 48.
- Ranked in Class B after the initial evaluation.
- Ranked in Class D after the second evaluation.
- Performed I.O.I's "Very Very Very" during the first performance round. Her position was sub-vocal 2. Her team won.
- Performed Ariana Grande's "Side to Side" during the second performance round. She placed first within her team.
- Performed the original Tropical Pop Dance song "Rollin' Rollin'" for the third performance round. Her position was sub-vocal 2. Her team won.

2019
- On February 20th, held her third A-Side solo center position for NMB48's 20th single Tokonoma Seiza Musume.

2020
- On November 30th, was voted among the top 20 gravure models of 2020. Jonishi Rei and Yokono Sumire were also on the list.
- On November 30th, tested positive for COVID-19 and went on hiatus. This made her the first member of NMB48 to test positive for the virus.
2021
- On January 22nd, was moved to NMB48 Promoted Members as all NMB48 teams were dissolved.
- On March 2nd, announced her graduation.
- On June 16th, held her fifth and final A-Side solo center position for NMB48's 25th single Shidare Yanagi.
- On July 7th, released her second photobook Reborn.
