- She lived with her grandparents growing up. Her grandparents often listened to enka singers Kitajima Saburo and Miyako Harumi, which influenced Misaki.
- She went to the same high school as Fujie Reina. She also had the same junior high school teacher as Ishizuka Akari, though it was at different schools.
- She has three dogs and one rabbit.
- She is a big fan of Morning Musume. She wanted to join the entertainment world both because she wanted to be a singer and because she admired Morning Musume.
- Her official nickname was briefly "Mikkii" (みっきー) for the first two weeks after her debut before she changed it to Wasamin.
- She trained at Hajime Vocal Academy in Tokyo before joining AKB48.
- She was a backup dancer for J-pop singer Tamaki Nami before joining AKB48.
- She is for her talented singing voice and her sharp dancing skills. Takahashi Minami said that Misaki was a perfectionist when it came to choreography.
- She participated in the AKB48 in Webster Hall concert in New York City when she was still a Kenkyuusei. She was one of the two Kenkyuusei to be invited.
- She joined Ogi Production on March 25th, 2010. She then transferred to Nagara Production, a company known for its enka singers, on March 29th, 2011.
- In September 2010 at "TeamOgi Matsuri" she performed "Ajisai Bashi" with Jonouchi Sanae, an enka singer and former member of Onyanko Club.
- In October 2010 she performed Ishikawa Sayuri's "Tsugaru Kaikyo Fuyugeshiki" at the AKB48 Outdoor Karaoke Competition. She won the competition and was gifted a trip to Hawaii.
- She was appointed as a tourism ambassador for Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, in honor of her song Tomonoura Bojou. Tomonoura is a port in the city of Fukuyama.
- On April 11th, 2014 she sang the national anthem and threw the first pitch at a Hiroshima Toyo Carp vs Chunichi Dragons baseball game in Hiroshima.
- She is a former member of the unofficial "Potebari!!" unit with Ishida Haruka and Iwata Karen.
- She is the only member to be voted as a center for an under unit twice in a Senbatsu Election.
