2015

On July 25th, passed the auditions for NGT48's 1st Generation.

2016

On January 10th, promoted to Team NIII].
On January 10th, has her theater debut for Party ga Hajimaru yo.

2017

On January 20th, during the announcement for the Senbatsu for NGT48's first single, Seishun Dokei, was chosen as a selected member.
On April 12th, Maho's first single participation, Seishun Dokei, was released.
On June 17th, ranked in at No. 53 in the 9th Senbatsu Election for the first time.

2018

On April 13th, during the NGT48 Tandoku Concert, movement to newly formed Team G was announced.
On July 1st, had her theater debut with Team G for the Saka Agari stage.
In December, Maho went on a social media semi-hiatus. Furthermore, handshake meetings were cancelled.

2019

On January 8th, Maho revealed during a SHOWROOM livestream and on twitter that she had been attacked by two men in her apartment building the month prior, explaining why she had been absent from handshakes and social media.
Between January 8th and March 8th, took another leave from social media and NGT48 group activities.
- On January 12th, participated once more in a theater show and apologised for causing worry to fans by speaking out about her attack.

On January 9, 2019 NHK News reported that two men were arrested for allegedly assaulting Yamaguchi Maho outside her own home in Niigata on December 8, but were later released without charges. According to NHK, the two suspects grabbed Yamaguchi's face as she was entering her home.
- This was confirmed by Maho on her SHOWROOM show, telling her fans all the group members' personal data were leaked. She confirmed the assault and that she feared for her life during the assault.
- She posted more details about the story on her Twitter account, asking for clearance on the matter.
- On January 12th, Maho apologised to fans during a stage performance for putting the group in a bad spot light and for causing the fans to worry. Due to this behaviour, many other members (such as Kitahara Rie, Sashihara Rino and Yokoyama Yui) spoke up and the news were also released in western media, such as TIME and Daily Mail.
