A Support Member is a full member of either AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 or HKT48, who perform in Kenkyuusei Stages, to fill in empty spots and to support the Kenkyuusei. Support Members also sometimes perform in sister groups whose teams are not yet complete.
Support Members now perform in other Team stages when members can't perform.
