  • First time for eligible member to not apply in JKT48 general election, however all the eligible member who didn't apply for general election (with Denise Caroline as exception) has announced their graduation. JKT48 Academy Class B students weren't eligible to applied, later on when some of 6th Generation who were promoted to Class A from Class B were eligible to apply (so, they were eligible to be voted on November). Exchange students which would be transferred to JKT48 weren't eligible too although have joined a team after the Sousenkyo were started.
  • Sinka Juliani had the biggest ranking increase (Non-rank to #3), while Saktia Oktapyani had the biggest ranking decrease (#9 to Non-rank). For members who ranked in both elections, Nurhayati had the biggest ranking increase (#26 to #5), while Frieska Anastasia Laksani had the biggest ranking decrease (#12 to #31). For members who haven't been ranked in all elections, Feni Fitriyanti had the biggest ranking increase (Non-rank to #4). The first time Shania Junianatha is placed on Undergirls after 4 times she got Senbatsu on Sousenkyo. This is the first time in which JKT48 Academy members (Gabryela Marcelina and Eve Antoinette Ichwan) are ranked. None of JKT48 6th and 7th Generation member who got Senbatsu nor Undergirls. None of 1st Generation who got TOP 7 Senbatsu.
  • Yogyakarta was chosen to be the city to held the final results announcement of JKT48 general election this year, this is the first time for this event to be held outside Jakarta. There will be a digital campaign by each member and there will be lucky fans picked to fly to Yogyakarta to watch Senbatsu Sousenkyo for free. On November 4 to November 11, 2018, for the first time, an Online Strategy Campaign Meeting was broadcast live through the JKT48 Official YouTube Channel and Instagram accounts of each JKT48 Members. For the first time, the announcement of the final results was broadcasted live only through Upme Live Streaming via the Smartphone Application or the link on video.up-me.me, but not broadcasted through National Television Stations in Indonesia nor YouTube.
  • The winner will get a solo photobook and the photoshoot will be done in Japan. Each top three member will have a chance to do a solo debut or create a new unit with the freedom to choose the member for their unit and their unit name. The senbatsu, including the winner, will get another photobook, Rank #1 - #10 photoshoot will be done abroad. Top two member will participate in a Japanese TV show on February 2019. Rank #1 - #10 will participate in a special project abroad.
  • Usually, the JKT48 Sousenkyo will start on March - June. But for this year, they reschedule the Sousenkyo 4 - 6 months later than usual while the Sousenkyo Single release will be released on Early 2019.
