She was on hiatus from June 16th, 2016 until November 28th, 2016 due to poor physical condition. She was later diagnosed with Graves' disease, a chronic autoimmune disease that can cause hyperthyroidism, eye problems, and heart palpitations.
She graduated from university in March 2018. She wrote a thank you letter to her fans and parents for supporting her in her studies.
In March 2020 she was announced as a PR ambassador for the J1 professional soccer club Shonan Bellmare.
She finished in 91st place on Produce 48.

On December 8th, at the AKB48 16th Anniversary Team Shuffle, it was announced she would be transferred to Asai Team B.
