  • Before joining AKB48, she was as a member of a dance group called GIRLSBOX.
    • She specialized in hip-hop dancing, and initially struggled with the idol style dancing of AKB48.
  • She was born in Osaka, and moved to Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture when she was in fourth grade.
  • She has a younger sister named Narumi who is an actress. She calls her sister "Nene".
  • Her father is a bank clerk and her mother is an elementary school teacher.
  • The first CD she ever bought was "Moment" by SPEED. She says SPEED was the reason she got interested in the entertainment industry.
  • She frequently goes out for karaoke and enjoys singing songs by SPEED, BoA and Ai Otsuka.
  • At the time she auditioned for AKB48, she had dyed brown hair. However, Akimoto Yasushi required all members to dye her hair black before AKB48's debut. As a result, she debuted with a short black bob hairstyle.
    • Around the time of the Team A 2nd Stage in 2006, she dyed her hair back to brown. She dyed it without company permission, and was the first in AKB48 to do so. Akimoto Yasushi decided they would not punish her, saying "Every class needs one exception". The hair dye ban was eventually abolished for the entire group.
    • At this time she also began to show a gyaru/gal image, wearing earrings and gyaru fashion.
  • She was known to be one of the most fashionable members of AKB48.
  • She has many female fans.
  • Her personality has been described as dry and direct, but also kind and honest. She was called a "little devil" character on AKBINGO.
  • She is known for being tasteless when it comes to food. In an early episode of AKBINGO!, the staff created a segment called "ToMichelin" (in reference to the Michelin Star restaurant rating system) and took her to the most poorly-rated ramen restaurant in Tokyo. Tomomi ate it and enjoyed it, while host Sata and Kashiwagi Yuki were too disgusted to eat it. She also enjoyed a sandwich made of natto, coffee jelly, and whipped cream on another segment.
    • Despite this, she doesn't like foreign food.
  • She infamously accidentally dropped Maeda Atsuko's birthday cake on the stage at the 2010 Surprise wa Arimasen concert.
  • She is good friends with Umeda Erika of °C-ute.
  • She is the model and spokesperson for Samantha Thavassa and E-mobile.
  • She registered her marriage to Takahashi Keiji on January 2021.
  • She announced the birth of her daughter on October 10th, 2021 (exact date of birth was kept secret).
  • In January of 2022, decided to launch a brand together with a long-time friend. In Februrary, registered the domain "株式会社Rosy luce co.". On May 9th of the same year, publicly announced the launch of her brand, serving to empower women.
  • Is the producer of the idol group RoLuANGEL. The members include her own younger sister Itano Narumi and her husband's younger sister Takahashi Miyu.
