Her mother wanted a two-syllable name, so she began going through the Japanese syllabic alphabet starting with "A" until she arrived at "Na". |

- Her HKT48 audition number was 21.
- Her mother chose the name "Nako". Her father had chosen the name of Nako's older sister, so her mother chose Nako's. However, her father insisted that the name end with "ko". Her mother wanted a two-syllable name, so she began going through the Japanese syllabic alphabet starting with "A" until she arrived at "Na".
- Her mother briefly considered "Yako" instead, but a fortune reading indicated that an 8-stroke kanji would lead to the best life, therefore "Na" (奈) was chosen.

- After passing the HKT48 auditions she, her mother, and her younger sister all moved to Fukuoka. Her father remained in Tokyo where he worked, and her older sister was in college.
- When she first moved to Fukuoka from Tokyo she had trouble adjusting to the buses. In Tokyo buses are boarded from the front door and exited from the back door, but in Fukuoka, it is opposite.
- She became Center of Wink wa Sankai within a month of debuting in HKT48. This was an HKT48 Senbatsu coupling song on AKB48's 34th single, Kimi no Hohoemi wo Yume ni Miru.
- She was named the ace of the 3rd Generation.
- She took on a leader-like role within her generation. According to Sashihara Rino, Nako was is very serious and often helps other members practice singing and dancing.
- Sashihara said that Nako only sleeps 2-3 hours before concerts, and instead stays up late practicing choreography.
- Former HKT48 theater manager Ozaki Mitsuru described her as strong-willed and brave, despite being shy and having a small voice.
