AKB48 37th Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo ~Yume no Genzaichi ~Rival wa Doko da?~
The AKB48 37th Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo ~Yume no Genzaichi ~Rival wa Doko da?~ (37thシングル 選抜総選挙~夢の現在地~ライバルはどこだ?~) was the sixth Senbatsu Election. It was held on June 7, 2014 at Ajinomoto Stadium. Fans made their voices heard by voting for their favorite AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, and Team Kaigai members.
The top 16 members are featured in the Senbatsu of the group's 37th single (39th single overall). Meanwhile, the 17th to 32nd place members join Undergirls for the B-side track, the 33rd to 48th place members join the Next Girls unit for the 2nd B-side track, and the 49th to 64th place members join the Future Girls for the 3rd B-side track. Meanwhile, the 65th to 80th place members will join the new Upcoming Girls unit for the 4th B-side track.

Eligible Members
For a member to participate in the Senbatsu Sousenkyo, she must first be an active member of AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, or HKT48. Members who announced their graduation before March 22, 2014, are ineligible.
Eligible members who wish to run need to submit an application (available from March 31 to April 6) in order to participate.

- Eligible members that didn't apply:
- Ikoma Rina marks the first appearance of a Nogizaka46 member participating in the Sousenkyo
- Otona AKB48 member Tsukamoto Mariko and the Research Students Iino Miyabi and Taniguchi Megu were not eligible since they debuted after the end of the application period
- Ikoma Rina is the member that had the biggest ranking increase (Non rank to #14), while Saito Makiko is the member that had the biggest ranking decrease (#42 to #75).
- For members who ranked in both elections, Tomonaga Mio had the biggest ranking increase (#59 to #27).
- For members who ranked in the top 80 for both 1st day and final results, Komada Hiroka gained the least votes after the 1st day, with an increase of 3,553 votes.
- Yokoyama Yui is the only member whose rank did not change compared to the previous year.
- Kawaei Rina and Iriyama Anna weren't present at the event due to injuries (After the Iwate Incident). Kawaei made a special appearance to make her speech and Iriyama thanked her fans through a cell phone call.
- With the exception of Senbatsu, Iwasa Misaki is the first member to get the Center position from a Election unit twice. She was the Next Girls center in 2012.
- Team K and Team H are the only teams whose members appear in all five units.
