AKB48 15th Anniversary (AKB48劇場15周年記念) was the 15th anniversary event held by AKB48.

Structure

• Minegishi Minami announced the AKB48 Tandoku Concert 2021.
• One by one, the teams talked to the hosts about the era they would be in charge of during the concert.
• They talked about the Golden Disc Award they received for having sold 72,800,000 CDs so far.
• Mukaichi Mion announced that Honda Sora and Furukawa Nazuna are promoted to Team A, Nagano Megumi to Team K, and Ishiwata Sena, Kuramoto Miyuu, Homma Mai and Yoshihashi Yuzuka to Team 4.

Trivia

• Originally, they were going to have a live stage. However, a few days before the event, some AKB48 and its sister group members performed at Best Artist. Five days later, NMB48's Shiroma Miru tested positive for COVID-19. The following members were requested to self-isolate until the 11th of December:
  • AKB48: Iriyama Anna, Mukaichi Mion, Yokoyama Yui, Kashiwagi Yuki, Kuranoo Narumi, Minegishi Minami, Muto Tomu, Okada Nana, Murayama Yuiri, Yamauchi Mizuki, Okabe Rin, Oguri Yui
  • SKE48: Suda Akari
  • NMB48: Shiroma Miru
  • HKT48: Tanaka Miku
  • NGT48: Homma Hinata
• Because of this, both the longest active members as well as most recent centers of the group would not be able to participate in the event. It was postponed and instead, a livestream was broadcast on YouTube.
• Miyazaki Miho wore the costume for Romantic Junbichuu, Komiyama Haruka the costume for Shuuden no Yoru, Iwatate Saho the costume for Atarashii Chime, Asai Nanami the costume for Neko Allergy and Onishi Momoka the latest official Team 8 concert.
