- Her name is spelled 明音, which is an unusual way to write "Akane". When she types her name on a computer, the kanji is not recognized. She gets around it by typing 明るい (Akarui), erasing the るい (rui), and adding the 音 (ne).

Akane festival is Churi! Churi!). The catchphrase incorporated the meanings of both of the kanji in her name, "bright" (明) and "sound" (音).
- Publicly asked Akimoto Yasushi to write an original stage for Team KII during her acceptance speech after ranking in the AKB48 22nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo. The stage was delayed several times even after Akane asked directly.
