- In March, passed the auditions for AKB48's 10th Generation.

- From April to June, appeared in Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou.
- On May 23rd, chosen for her first senbatsu for AKB48's 26th single Manatsu no Sounds good!.
- Starting July 13th, appeared in Majisuka Gakuen 3 as Shokkaku.

- On August 27th, appeared in the live wrestling event "The Real 2017 WIP Climax" and fought as "Cutie Renacchi" alongside Pappara Kizaki and MAX Nakai against Katsuo Hirose, Ottamaga Ma and Mad Dogg Miyazaki. Rena's team won.
- On September 5th, it was announced during a SHOWROOM live stream that she would be signed to Mama & Son Inc. as her new agency.
- On September 24th, during the AKB48 Group Unit Janken Tournament 2017, appeared as a solo act named 'Renattsun' but lost in the first round.
- On December 8th, during the AKB48 12th Anniversary Shuffle, moved to Okabe Team A.
2018
- On February 23rd, another Tofu Pro Wrestling event happened, "The Real 2018 WIP Queendom", but Rena dropped out.
- On September 18th, during the AKB48 Group Unit Janken Tournament 2018, appeared together with Fujita Nana as a duo under the name '10ki.‘ (10期。). The name derives from them being the only members of AKB48's 10th Generation that were active as AKB48 members at the time.
2021
- On December 8th, at the AKB48 16th Anniversary Team Shuffle, it was announced she would be moved to Asai Team B.
- On December 16th, announced her graduation from AKB48.
2022
- On February 14th, held her graduation performance at the AKB48 theater.
- On February 20th, was officially removed from the AKB48 website as a member. Because she graduated before the new team structure was set in place, she graduated as a member of Team A.
