MX Matsuri AKB48 62nd Single "Idol Nanka Janakattara" Release Commemoration Concert (MXまつり AKB48 62ndシングル「アイドルなんかじゃなかったら」発売記念コンサート) is a series of three concerts by AKB48, held from October 20th to October 22nd, 2023, at Nippon Budokan.

  • October 20: Kosan mo Shinki mo Dai Shuugou！Nande mo Ari no AKB de Special (古参も新規も大集合！なんでもありのAKBでっせスペシャル)
  • October 21: Theater Performance Song Request Hour Best 30 (劇場公演曲リクエストアワーセットリストベスト30)

Announcement

  • Kashiwagi Yuki announced her graduation from the group. Her graduation concert will be on March 16, 2024 in Pia Arena MM and her last activities will be in April.

Trivia

Day 1

  • The Day 1 concert's title in English: A great gathering of old and new! AKB special where anything goes.
  • Kashiwagi Yuki and Mukaichi Mion participated in the production for the concert which will allow old and new fans alike to come and enjoy the history of AKB48.
  • To decide Budoukan Concert Janken Senbatsu, all current members held a Janken competition before the concert at the theater.
  • During M26, the background VTR made a mashup face similar to Eguchi Aimi using the facial features of the current “Ace” members Honda Hitomi, Oguri Yui, Yamauchi Mizuki, Murayama Yuiri, Chiba Erii and Sato Airi!
  • At the end of M29, they tried to recreate a message placard challenge that failed in 2014 but they failed again. The message: “Please continue supporting AKB48 from now on as well!”
  • During M30, they attempted to recreate a challenge that Takahashi Minami previously attempted in a 2015 music show. Takahashi Minami surprisingly appeared at the end.

  • Day 3 will be the first concert performance of the New AKB48 system after the disbandment of all teams, using all members except pending graduation members.
