- March 17: Ito Momoka, Okumoto Kairi, Kawamura Yui, Shiratori Sari, and Hanada Mei join AKB48 as 19th generation kenkyuusei.

- Okada Azumi is appointed as the new STU48 captain.
- Hoop is appointed as the new BNK48 captain.
