- Her parents considered naming her "Shiina" because it would make her full name "Tano Shiina" which sounds like tanoshii na (楽しいな), meaning "It's fun", in Japanese. In the end they worried that she would be teased for the name, so they chose "Yuka" instead.
- She is best friends with Hirata Rina. They regularly hang out, even after their graduations.
- She was a member of the ksgk (kusogaki "annoying kids") Senbatsu with Kawaei Rina, Oshima Ryoka and Takahashi Juri, which was a popular joke between Team A members.
- She had a good relationship with Muto Tomu at work, as they were often paired for activities.
- She learned hip hop dance since 3rd grade of elementary school. She attended the same dance school as Miyazawa Sae.
- She describes herself as cheerful, energetic, and often smiling, but also as a "super sore loser" and noisy.
- Theater manager Hosoi Takahiro described her as "the member who shines the most" in 2017.
- She and Muto Tomu were the only members of the 12th Generation to rank in the 4th Senbatsu Election. Tano had the highest ranking.

- She ranked in both Renacchi Sousenkyo elections, at 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

- Before graduating, her goal in AKB48 was to became captain of Team K.

- She was also supposed to be part of the Dance Senbatsu (2017), but was unable to record the music video for Yaban na Kyuuai due to schedule clashes (rehearsals for THE CIRCUS).
- In her reasons for graduating, she explained that she had felt like her inspiration was lost when Miyazawa Sae graduated. She stayed out of her love for Team K, but decided to graduate herself after the AKB48 12th Anniversary Shuffle.
- Said that she secretly refrained from getting any piercings (including ear piercings) because she'd always wanted to act in a historical drama. She fulfilled this wish with her appearance in Oumi Akindo, Hashiru! (近江商人、走る!) in 2022, at the age of 25.

Early Life
- She has been dancing Hip Hop since third grade.
- She applied for AKB48 out of admiration for Miyazawa Sae, who was a senior at the dance school she attended. Her audition song was Heart Gata Virus.
2011
- On February 20th, she passed the auditions for the 12th Generation.
- On April 3rd, she was officially revealed as a member.
- On May 22nd, had her official debut at the AKB48 theater.
2012
- On March 23rd, on Day 2 of the Gyomu Renraku. Tanomuzo, Katayama Bucho! in Saitama Super Arena concert, she was promoted to Oba Team 4.
- On June 6th, at the 4th General Election, she ranked at #45.
- On August 24th, during the Tokyo Dome Team Shuffle, she was moved to Mariko Team A.
2013
- On September 18th, she placed #7 at the 34th Single Janken Senbatsu Tournament.
- On December 11th, she was part of her first Senbatsu for Kimi no Hohoemi wo Yume ni Miru for placing #7 at the Janken Tournament.
2014
- On February 24th, during the AKB48 Group Daisokaku Matsuri, she was moved to Yokoyama Team K.
- On March 22nd, she played the lead role of Dorothy in the stage play The Wiz. The role was double cast for her and Umeda Ayaka.
- From October 23rd to 26th, she starred as the lead in the stage play "Träumerei ni Sayonara" (Goodbye to Dreaming), alongside SKE48's Kaneko Shiori and members from other idol groups, including PPP! PiXiON and PiiiiiiiN.
- On November 22nd, her solo documentary "Namida no Riyuu" (The Reason for Tears) was released.
- On November 22nd, she centered MARIA, Kuchibiru Furezu..., Heavy Rotation and Kibouteki Refrain (Wcenter with Kojima Mako) at the AKB48 Zenkoku Tour 2014 in Chiba.
- On November 26th, she was part of her first management chosen Senbatsu for Kibouteki Refrain.
2015
- On March 26th, during the AKB48 Spring Shuffle 2015, she stayed with Minegishi Team K.
- On May 20th, she was part of her third and final Senbatsu for Bokutachi wa Tatakawanai. Only Media Senbatsu members appeared in the music video, however, and other members including Yuka appeared in the Summer side music video.
2016
- From January 10th to 24th, she played Shirasaki Lemon in the stage play "DNA Sharaku".
2017
- From April 25th to May 10th, she acted as Sally in the stage musical "Kimi wa ii Hito, Charlie Brown" (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown).
- From September 24th to October 15th, she acted as Nadia in the original musical "THE CIRCUS - Episode 1: The Core".
- On September 24th, she was part of "Dancing Cats" together with Yumoto Ami and Ichikawa Manami for the 8th Janken Tournament. Due to performances of "THE CIRCUS", she was unable to attend the Janken Tournament.
- On October 28th, she was chosen as the lead role for her first movie, "Linking Love".
- On December 8th, during the AKB48 12th Anniversary Shuffle she stayed in Komiyama Team K but decided to graduate (as later revealed).
2018
- On March 15th, she announced her graduation from AKB48 during a SHOWROOM livestream. Her last activity with the group would be on August 12, a Handshake Event for the 51st single Jabaja.
- During the SHOWROOM livestream, she said she made the decision right after the AKB48 12th Anniversary Shuffle.
- From January 16th to 20th, she performed as Sally again in the 10 Year Anniversary performance of TENTH as a cast member of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
- On 25th April, Tano held a talk show event leading up to her graduation. Her guests were Takahashi Juri, Muto Tomu, Muto Orin, Yasuda Kana and Inoue Yoshimasa.
- Her graduation stage on May 15th was also the Senshuuraku for the Team K stage "Saishuu Bell ga Naru", as well as a surprise birthday stage.
- From June 17th to July 1st, she reprised her role as Nadia in the sequel of THE CIRCUS; "THE CIRCUS - Episode 2: Separation."
- On June 20th, she was announced as a model for various fashion lines by Coleman. The lines were officially released on 28th June.
- On August 12th, she had her last activity as an AKB48 member during a Handshake event.
- On August 23rd, her affiliation with the entertainment agency CENTRAL was announced (this agency later changed their name to YK Agent).
- From October 10th to 21st, she appeared in the stage play "Heavens Record ~Aozora Hen~."
- On December 7th, she appeared in the music video for "S・M・I・L・E・S" by Ohashi Trio.
- From December 12th to 16th, she appeared in the stage play "Dance Cantabile 2018."
- On December 27th, she was a guest DJ on the radio show DJ Tomoaki.
2019
- From February 14th to 17th, she played the leading role in the stage play "SINGULAR".
- From April 10th to 14th, she appeared as Mihara Hana in the stage play adaptation of the anime W´z.
- From May 1st to 12th, she appeared in the stage play "Hoeru".
- From June 20th to 23rd, she appeared in the stage play "Shotou Kyouiku Royal" (Osaka performances only).
- On July 29th, the first episode of the web drama "Chikai Youde Tokutte" (近いようで遠くって) was released on twitter. Every week on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, another episode was published. Yuka played the character Yokoi Yuna.
- On August 2nd, utility (a fashion line based in Harajuku, Japan) released their EFFECTEN fashion line for Autumn and Winter, using Yuka as the sole female model.
- On August 10th, she appeared on a special program was broadcast on Fuji TV, showcasing each THE CIRCUS cast member showing off their personal charms.
- On August 22nd, she appeared on TS ONE's "GINZA 4 STUDIO STAR SPECIAL" (a radio broadcast), to talk about THE CIRCUS.
- From September 13th to October 2nd, appeared in the stage play "THE CIRCUS - The Final Episode".
- On October 4th and 5th, she appeared on FM Fujioka's "Musical Talk & Radio 'ON & OFF'". It was a broadcast with a live audience, held at Haneda Airport Sky Hall.
- From October 24th to 27th, she was part of the reading drama "Hotel Plaza Suite" (ホテル・プラザ・スイート).
- On November 21st, she was revealed as the model for MILKFED hoodies in collaboration with the online retailer IN THE HOUSE.
- From November 23rd to December 1st, she was the main model for Takahashi Yuya's photo exhibition "scamp" held at the Mizu Tenguu Gallery in Tokyo.
2020
- From January 18th to 22nd, she was part of the musical "Nobunaga's Ambition" (信長の野望), based on the 1983 video game of the same name.
- From February 6th to March 19th, she appeared in the Hinatazaka46 drama "DASADA" (First appearance: episode 4).
- From March 21st to 29th, she was part of the stage play "LIFE RESET."
- From May 13th to 20th, she was supposed to be part of the stage play "SAMBA NIGHT 2020." However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the performances were cancelled.
- From May 30th, she was part of the drama "Reiwa 2-nen Online Yomikai wo Yatte Mita" (令和2年オンライン飲み会をやってみた) alongside Shinozaki Ayana and others. It was recorded remotely from home and broadcast on YouTube.
- From August 15th, she appeared in the movie "13gatsu no Onna no Ko" (13月の女の子; 13th Month Girl). The movie was be distributed via a nationwide drive-in cinema road show. Due to high demand, more dates were added in September.
- On August 21st, she held an online chat event via Zoom where people can chat to her.
- From September 16th to 24th, she was part of the stage play "Queen's Sketch" (クイーンズ・スケッチ).
- On October 24th, she modeled a line for the clothing retailer "drop tokyo."
- From November 11th to December 4th, she was one of three cast members of "13gatsu no Onna no Ko" to hold live talk events after movie screenings at certain cinemas.
2021
- On January 11th, she modelled a lip stick color for "drop tokyo."
- From February 4th to 10th, she starred in the stage adaptation of the 2013 movie "Title, Kyozetsu" (タイトル、拒絶; Life: Untitled).
- On July 14th, she appeared in the music video for "Haremoyou" (ハレモヨウ) by osage.
- In August and September, she starred in the musical adaptation of the English BBC documentary "Jamie" (ジェイミー) (Documentary title: Jamie: Drag Queen at 16).
- From November 14th to 28th, starred in the musical "Pupelle of Chimney Town" (えんとつ町のプペル, Entotsu Machi no Puperu).
2022
- On March 24th, appeared at the AKB48 theater for Yasuda Kana's graduation.
- On April 1st, appeared at the Oba Mina Graduation Concert @ Pacifico Yokohama.
- From May 20th to June 4th, will appear in the stage plays "Boku no Measuring Spoon" (ぼくのメジャースプーン) and "Kagami no Kojou" (かがみの孤城). These plays will be performed by the same cast and are produced by the same producer.
- On July 3rd, the "Pupelle of Chimney Town" musical was released for free to view on Youtube.
- From July 23rd to August 2nd, appeared in the Japanese version of the Broadway Musical "Peter Pan."
